Tell Congress we've had enough of AIPAC

Here in Washington, we've just witnessed an appalling weekend when the presidential candidates pandered to members of AIPAC at its annual convention. 

We heard them characterize Palestinians as 'terrorists,' hateful and violent. They pledged to 'rip the Iran deal to shreds,' to move the US embassy to Jerusalem and criminalize the boycott divestment and sanctions movement -- all part of AIPAC's platform. They sold the American values of liberty, freedom and self-determination for pro-Israel votes and money. 

Even though AIPAC apologized on Monday for the truly grievous speech of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, it's way too little too late. 

 We know AIPAC is here to serve Israel's interests. We know AIPAC meddles in US affairs, like it did when it interfered with the Iran deal last year. We know some of its leaders had been arrested for espionage and passing US intelligence to Israel. We know some analysts believe AIPAC should register as a foreign agent and disclose its source of income and how it spends it.

So why are our candidates and elected officials still paying homage to an organization that is clearly not in our best interest?

Enough is enough!

It's time for American politicians and our elected officials to stop pandering to the pro-Israel lobby. It's time for them to remember their loyalty is to the United States, not a foreign agent like AIPAC. 
 

Take a few seconds to send your representatives and senator a message, telling them to put your interests ahead of Israel's. And tell them we've had enough of AIPAC's shilling for Israel's occupation and apartheid policies.
