Conference concludes with renewed intentions to do more for Palestine

The sixth annual conference for Palestine in the US: A Blessed Land; A Noble cause wrapped up with a resounding entertainment session Saturday night and promises to recommit to the noble cause of Palsetine. At least 2,000 people attended the event, which featured dozens of globally renowned speakers, book signings, a vibrant bazaar, authentic Palestinian cuisine and more.

 "AMP is the only organization working for Palestine from the Islamic perspective," said AMP board member and conference chairman Salah Sarsour. "Our supporters are asking for more. They have put their trust in us. AMP has pledged we will not rest until Palestine is free."

Not only did attendees listen to lectures by experts such as Israeli historian Ilan Pappe; Dr. Rashid Khalidi, who holds the Edward Said chair at Columbia University in New York City; AMP Chairman Dr. Hatem Bazian and AMP national board member Dr. Osama Abu Irshaid, they also got hands-on leadership and media training. Motiviating people toward action is a large component of AMP's work, and the hundreds of children in the youth and young adults programs had ample opportunities to learn how to be active for Palestine, even as middle and high school students. 

Dozens of students from throughout the country attended the Campus Activism Track, where they had the opportunity to network and share their successes and challenges with Palestine solidarity activism.
