Driving force behind Deir Yassin massacre still alive today

CHICAGO 04/09/2014) – Today marks 66 years since the Deir Yassin massacre in Palestine that occurred on April 9, 1948, when Jewish terrorists crept into the small village near Jerusalem in the early morning hours and slaughtered nearly 200 men, women and children.
Deir Yassin was not the first massacre or even the largest that occurred between the Partition of Palestine in November 1947 and the end of the Zionist war in January 1949. But it was the one Zionist Jews used to terrorize the native Palestinians, causing them to flee their homes and their beloved Palestine. Deir Yassin has come to symbolize the Nakba, or Catastrophe.
The Zionism that was responsible for the Deir Yassin massacre continues today and is the driving force behind Israel’s occupation of Palestine. Zionism is a racist ideology that calls for a state of racial and religious purity, a tyrannical idea that is an affront to humanity. Zionism has at its core the call for the removal of Palestinians from Palestine. It is destroying Palestine and erasing the Muslim and Christian histories from the land, in the effort to Judaize the land.
And this ideology is finding massive support here in the United States. According to The Jewish Daily Forward, a network of 3,600 Jewish tax-exempt organizations has annual assets of $26 billion, and together these groups have annual revenue of between $12 billion and $14 billion. A big portion of this revenue goes to organizations that support the state of Israel.
This year, to commemorate Deir Yassin and to honor its victims, make a commitment to learn more about Zionism and how to identify Zionist organizations.
Call the American Muslims for Palestine to receive free information or to bring a workshop to your mosque, school or organization. We cannot afford to be silent. We must collectively work to identify and expose Zionist organizations here. We must work to stop their support of Israel by bringing the truth to the American public. Justice for Palestine depends on it. And the memory of Deir Yassin’s victims deserves it.
