Ramadan Solidarity with Palestine

Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Rahim

Ramadan Mubarak!

Recently, we commemorated al-Isra al-Miraj, the Prophet’s (saw) night journey from al Masjid al Haram in Makkah to Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. It was there in al Aqsa that Muhammad (saw) led all the prophets in prayer, inheriting from them all previous sacred covenants and binding forever all righteous believers in Tawhid, the Oneness of Allah (swt). During this most blessed of months, it is good for us to reflect on the Islamic significance of Palestine and our obligation to support its noble cause.

The American Muslims for Palestine is the only national Muslim organization dedicating 100 percent of its time, resources and energy to the cause of Palestine. We are committed to educating the public as well as helping Muslims acknowledge and connect to their Islamic heritage in Palestine.  This year so far, we’ve launched our Israeli apartheid ad campaign in New York City and San Francisco, which caused much debate in the media.

For the first time, dozens of mainstream news articles and broadcasts discussed Israeli apartheid and its occupation and oppression of Palestinians. Thanks, in part to AMP’s efforts, the Palestinian narrative is now becoming part of the national dialogue!

AMP continues to disseminate its factual educational materials, to hold lectures and workshops, movie screenings and conferences. We speak in mosques, churches, libraries, schools, universities and participate in discussions on TV and the radio. We are in the first phase of developing a Palestinian curriculum with a group of curriculum development experts, teachers and researchers in order to provide high quality education materials to both Muslim and non-Muslim students. Each year thousands of people attend AMP’s annual conference to show the support for the cause and to learn how to be active for Palestine.

AMP’s mission is to educate Americans about the cause of Palestine because once they know the truth they will demand a more balanced foreign policy in the Middle East.

It is through the Grace of Allah (swt) and generous support by people like you that AMP is able to put a human face on Palestinians and their struggle for the American public. Together, we are making a difference! But there is still so much work to do.

AMP is changing the dialogue about Palestine in America!

Please make your Ramadan donation this year to help bring Palestine to the American public, the media, schools, and universities.

This year we are asking our donors to make a small monthly pledge of $20/month, $30/month, $50/month, $100/month or any amount that is comfortable to you.  If you prefer a one-time donation, that will be appreciated as well.

Americans for Justice in Palestine Educational Foundation (AJP) is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, and is the fiscal sponsor of the American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), EIN # 27-1365284. All donations to AJP are tax-deductible and zakat-eligible.

Sincerely,
